Delivering a stunning Skoda Enyaq iV to Chesterfield at the weekend, we stopped at the Instavolt rapid charging hub off Junction 11 M40 in Banbury. This is one of our favourite charging stops – 32 chargepoints in total offering CCS and CHAdeMO, open 24 hours, well lit, easy to use (tap and charge) and reliable.
It fired up first time and we headed to the Costa Coffee for brekkie. In 25 minutes we had tried the new Heinz Beanz toastie (completely hit the spot), used the facilities and added 85 miles of range. Instavolt charge 85p/kWh and together with charging at home before we left, our fuel cost for the journey was £23.93 (including a spare 50 miles for our customer at the destination). The journey back in the petrol part exchange cost £35 in fuel.
When journey planning we always look for an Instavolt. They have the UK’s largest rapid EV charging network and have partnered with good pitstop places including McDonalds, Costa, Starbucks, KFC and more – check them out here: https://instavolt.co.uk/drivers/
