Electric Vehicle Experts Limited, trading as EV Experts, is authorised and regulated by The Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker (not a lender). Their FCA number is 917827.  Martin Miller and Estelle Miller have each passed the Specialist Automotive Finance (SAF) Expert Test (January 2025).

General Information

EV Experts show an illustrative monthly figure on their vehicle factsheets. Unless indicated this figure is based on a 4 year personal contract purchase (PCP) with an illustrative APR of 10.9% for individuals with an excellent credit score paying a 20% deposit and travelling 8k miles per year. Where a hire purchase (HP) monthly figure is shown, this is based on a 5 year contract with a 20% deposit and an illustrative APR of 10.9% for those with an excellent credit score. Evolution Funding have provided a finance calculator on the EV Experts website for each vehicle allowing the user to adjust these parameters to give illustrative pricing based on individual personal circumstances and preferences.

EV Experts introduces private individuals and businesses looking to finance the purchase of a vehicle offered for sale by them, to CarMoney Limited and/or Evolution Funding Ltd. You can find out more about:

If you enter into a credit agreement brokered by CarMoney or Evolution Funding, they will pay a commission to EV Experts as the introducing supplier. The commission received is either a fixed fee or a percentage of the amount you borrow. The lenders could pay commission at different rates, however the amount of commission received does not have an effect on the amount you pay to that lender under your credit agreement.

General information about your finance journey

EV Experts gives full consideration to its consumer duty to avoid foreseeable harm to customers and actively support them in achieving their financial goals by putting the customers’ needs at the centre of all transactions. For example, EV Experts will not sell or propose for finance a vehicle that will not achieve a customer’s stated range requirements. EV Experts provide products and services that are suitable, offer fair value and accompanied by clear communication and adequate customer support.

EV Experts recognises that all customers are at risk of becoming vulnerable and that this risk is increased by having characteristics of vulnerability. EV Experts take the time to understand the needs of each customer in terms of travel and range requirements and financial outcomes. If during these discussions a customer discloses, or presents through the way that they communicate, any vulnerability, EV Experts takes additional steps to check the customer’s understanding and advises the broker to treat the customer as vulnerable. Examples of vulnerable characteristics that EV Experts consider are poor health, cognitive impairment, life events such as new caring responsibilities, low resilience to cope with financial or emotional shocks and low capability, such as poor literacy or numeracy skills.

Complaints procedure

Your complaint will be acknowledged within 2 working days. We will need to know your name and address, details of how we can contact you, a clear description of your complaint and what you would like us to do to resolve it. Please include copies of any relevant supporting documents.

We will investigate your complaint competently, diligently and in a timely manner. We will take into account all of the available evidence, the circumstances, relevant laws or regulation as well as guidance from the Financial Ombudsman Service. We may also share details of your complaint with CarMoney Limited or Evolution Funding Ltd (where relevant) and/or our legal representatives.

When we have investigated your complaint we will write to let you know our final response. This correspondence will detail what we have found, what we plan to do and how we came to our decision. If it is going to take more than six weeks to resolve your complaint from when you first contacted us, we will update you on progress and explain why it is ongoing.
