Customer service manager and store manager roles available. Join us!

We are now looking for new sales team members for our stores in Hook, Hampshire and Guildford, Surrey, keen to help motorists switch to electric (cars and motorbikes).

EV Expert team members like to deliver informative, honest and enthusiastic customer service. They are passionate about the environment and a road user with a clean driving licence. This is a permanent position working Tuesday to Saturdays in a small team with the confidence to work independently.

Job introduction

Working alongside an EV Expert co-founder your primary focus will be helping customers understand which EV is right for them and together achieving sales targets with five star reviews. You will be confident communicating with customers by telephone, email and in person and able to provide them with accurate and timely information, maintaining contact with them as they journey towards the switch to electric.

Main responsibilities

Become an expert in EVs and share that passion and knowledge with customers, giving them the confidence to buy an EV supplied by EV Experts.

Taking responsibility for the presentation of stock (managing a team of valeters) to a high standard including preparing information for customers to receive both on site and electronically.

Achieving sales targets and facilitating sales with the finance provider where customers opt to finance their purchase.

Introducing customers to their new vehicles and supporting them with any aftersales queries on functionality, EV driving, servicing and paperwork.

Checking that vehicles and part exchanges are as described.

Ideal candidate

An established retail manager or assistant manager who can work as part of a team and independently (not necessarily from the motor trade – in fact due to the culture of our business and our expansion plans we are looking for applicants from other specialist retail sectors such as cycles, phones, technology or from an automotive service team).

A road user who is passionate about the environment (clean UK licence and preferably claim-free). Knowledge of motorbikes and a category A motorcycle licence is an advantage.

Technology-confident with an eye for detail.

Smart and well-presented.

Clear and honest communicator both verbally and in writing.
